Under the AT program, RIDLC provides advocacy to individuals with disabilities who need assistive technology devices and services but are unable to obtain funding. RIDLC also identifies systemic barriers that interfere with individuals' abilities to access AT devices and services, and advocates for legal and policy changes that will overcome these barriers, under a supplemental funding agreement with Rhode Island's Tech Act recipient agency, the Office of Rehabilitation Services within the Rhode Island Department of Human Services.
CAP and the PAIR and AT programs are funded and regulated by different agencies within the U.S. Department of Education.
