Statement of Priorities

 

PRIORITY THREE:

Increase awareness of work incentives under the Social Security Act and promote the provision of vocational rehabilitation and related employment services, so that persons with disabilities can obtain or maintain competitive and integrated employment.

PRIORITY FOUR:

Advance full participation in the electoral process for persons with disabilities.

PRIORITY FIVE:

Monitor the state’s implementation of changes to Medicaid-funded long-term care, including those resulting from federal health care reform.

PRIORITY SIX:

Participate in the development and implementation of the statewide computerized healthcare information exchange, with emphasis on the privacy and security of electronic health records and informed and substituted consent requirements.
